Welcome To Mrs. California International
It's more than a crown...It's a commitment.
The International System has established itself as an organization with integrity, high ethical standards and consistent application of its rules and regulations. It is our goal to provide ladies everywhere the opportunity to compete in a pageant system that maintains the highest of moral values.
We believe that we owe consistent application of our rules and regulations to all of our past, present or future contestants and directors. We are firmly committed to applying these standards fairly, uniformly and consistently.

I am a proud native Californian born and raised in Anaheim. In fact, my father, an Anaheim native, walked to elementary school through the orange groves that were cut down to make way for Disneyland. He attended opening day! My mother Nikki, and my sister Kym also reside in Anaheim. I have two step-children: Chas, a track and cross country assistant coach at UC Berkley and Brittany, a marketing coordinator for “O” Magazine. (Maybe one of these days I will meet Oprah!)
I obtained a Bachelor of Journalism Degree from California Polytechnic State University in Pomona. My degree launched me to a career in television news as an anchor/reporter. After eight years in the industry, I returned to school at National University and obtained a teaching credential in English and a Master’s Degree in Cross-Cultural Education. I continue to hone my teaching skills by attending numerous conventions, trainings, and additional college courses at the UC San Diego. As a Teacher, I work hard to educate students about the English language and the beauty of literature.
As the reigning Mrs. California International 2014, I will expand the Josie Pearl Memorial Scholarship. Last year we awarded a $3,000 scholarship to a student who is attending Johnson and Wales University in Florida. This year, my plan is to award numerous scholarships throughout the state of California. 67% of seniors last year had to eliminate their college of choice due to funding. I believe that education should be a right and not a privilege. Therefore, I will spend my year raising funds to support students in their quest for higher education. In addition, as Mrs. California International 2014, I will be an advocate for our national platform: “Go Red for Women”, American Heart Association, in an effort to educate and promote a heart healthy lifestyle. Currently, 43 million women in the United States are living with heart disease.
Wife is a title that I cherish deeply. My husband of nine years, David, works diligently to bring you the important news stories of the day on KUSI’s “Good Morning San Diego.” When we are not working, we are hiking, traveling, running half-marathons, and valuing life.
